When you move from one ongame skin to an other ongame poker room, you can keep using the players notes you were using on the previous skin. You can just copy them to the new poker client.
1 - Find the player notes file named playernotes.properties
The p5 poker software stores the player notes in a folder of your user profile. For windows XP for example, this folder can be found at C:Documents and Settingsyour_PC_UsernameP5JavaClientSettings, where your_PC_Username is the name of your user profile on your PC. In that directory, there is a subdirectory for each ongame skin you play on. Each directory’s name is a number. In those skin-subfolders, there is a file called playernotes.properties
This playernotes.properties file contains all the notes and specific colors (the red/green/yellow dots) you have given to each player.
To find the folder on your windows operating system, you should make sure that hidden folders are shown. To view your invisible files and folders, you have to mark the checkbox view hidden files and folders that can be found in the view tab of the configuration panel of the mapoptions.
For windows xp, this can be done by performing the following steps:
•On the Tools menu in Windows Explorer, click Folder Options.
•Click the View tab.
•Under Hidden files and folders, click Show hidden files and folders.
For Windows Vista, this is done by performing these steps:
•Open Folder Options by clicking the Windows-start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking Appearance and Personalization, and then clicking Folder Options.
•Click the View tab.
•Under Advanced settings, click Show hidden files and folders, and then click OK.
2 - Copy playernotes.properties from your old skin folder to the new skin folder
Once you have found the playernotes.properties file, you must copy the file from the skin where you have made the nodes to the skin where you want the notes to show up. If you already have a playernotes.properties file in that folder, it is a good idea to take a backup in case you ever want to restore your previous player notes.
3 - Edit the player notes file for the new ongame skin
In the playernotes.properties file, you need to make a small adjustment for the new skin. The file with the player notes contains your screen name. You need to change your screen name from your old ongame skin to the new screen name you are using on your new ongame skin.
You can open the file with a text editor like notepad or wordpad. Locate your screenname from your previous ongame poker room and change it to your screen name from your new ongame skin. When you (re)start your new poker client, you can enjoy your old player notes :-D
